Idea 76: Buying Pop-Up Adverts
You could buy pop-up advertising to promote your web site. (Pop-Ups are windows that open in a user's browser when they arrive at or leave a particular web site).
Many, but not all, larger content sites (and some search engines) sell pop-up advertising, as do many smaller sites. Some advertising networks also sell pop-up advertising space across many sites. Finally, many (not all) of those "guaranteed traffic" programs, deliver their traffic by use of pop-up ads.
When choosing where to buy pop-up advertising, you should also consider that you will probably get the best response from web sites that are targeted to your particular subject area (or if advertising on search engines, you may get the highest response if you have your pop-ups displayed only to people who entered your particular keywords).
On a final note, if you are considering buying pop-up advertising, be sure to shop around as advertising rates vary greatly.
