Chapter 13: Some Off-Line Promotion Ideas

Idea 106: Direct Mail

You could send out direct mail (I'm talking about stuff that is delivered by the postal service - NOT spam email) to promote your web site.

Of course, sending out direct mail could be quite expensive if all you're aiming for is extra visitors to your web site. However, there are things that you could consider, to make your campaign more cost-effective:
  • You could piggy-back off a direct mail campaign that your company is doing anyway. (By including your web site details with the product literature or whatever it is you are sending).

  • Team up with one or more other companies. The direct mail campaign would include materials that promotes all your products and services - and you split the costs of postage, etc.
