Chapter 7: Some More Free Advertising Opportunities
Idea 49: Email Signatures
Most email programs allow you to add a short message to the bottom of all outgoing messages (known as your "Signature" or "Sig"). You can set this up, so that at the bottom of each of your mesages includes a link to your web site and a short fragment of text explaining why people should visit (what's in it for them?).
Using email sigs costs nothing and takes virtually no time to set up - but even so can be a great way to promote your site (or particular pages on your site) - as all your outgoing emails will contain a little ad.
If you have employees, you could also get them to add a company sig to their messages.
