Chapter 6: Building Email Lists
Idea 39: Pass It On
This is a simple tip that costs nothing.
- Sometimes subscribers to your ezine (or follow-up autoresponder) may see an article that they know will be of interest to a friend, colleague or family member.
- Sometimes, if asked, subscribers may be able to think of a friend, colleague or family member who would be interested in an article in your ezine.
So:
- Tell your subscribers that they can pass on copies of your ezine, in fact, suggest that they do. For example, you could include a note in your ezine, something like: "If you have a friend who would be interested in reading this ezine, please feel free to forward them a copy".
- If somebody does receive a copy of your ezine as a resut of a friend forwarding it to them, you'll want to encourage them to subscribe themselves. You could include a note in your ezine, something like: "If you received a copy of this ezine from a friend, you can get FREE copies of future newsletters by doing...."
