Idea 51: Newsgroups Signatures
Newsgroups (also known as "Usenet") are discussions on particular subject areas (there are newsgroups on almost any conceivable subject) which are conducted via email (although it is now possible to participate in them via web sites like Google Groups).
Most newsgroups do not allow off-topic posts or blatant ads, and will consider such posts to be spamming.
However, many (but not all - check the rules/FAQ for any particular Newsgroups that you intend to post to) do allow Email Signatures (see Idea 49: Email Signatures), provided your post is actually participating in the group and not just advertising.
One nice thing about posting to Newsgroups, is if you do, everybody who sees your post will also see your Signature.
