Chapter 7: Some More Free Advertising Opportunities
Idea 54: Posting To FFAs
Free For All Links ("FFAs") pages are pages which are basically web pages which consist of a list of links.
You can post to individual FFA pages (nearly always free), or you can find a service (usually paid - example) that will post to thousands of FFAs all in one go.
- Call me a skeptic, but I don't believe FFAs generally produce much (if any) traffic for the webmasters posting to them.
(If you were to use a tracking link (Click/Counter Tracker , AdTrackZ or DynaTracker) for any links you post to FFAs, you can get an idea whether it's worth the effort for you, or whether my skepticism is justified).
- Another downside of posting to a lot of FFAs is that your inbox will be filled with email - because the owner's of those pages get to send an acknowledgement email back (usually containing ad) for each post that is made. So, if you do decide to post to FFAs, be sure not to use your primary email address.
The email ads are of course the real reason why people set-up FFA pages, so, even if there is no benefit in posting to FFAs, there could be a benefit from running one (see Idea 55: Starting Your Own FFA).
