Chapter 11: Getting Other Webmasters To Promote Your Site

Idea 79: Web Site Articles

Writing articles and publishing them on a web site provides lots of meat for Search Engines to digest (see Idea 1: Spider-Based Search Engines).

You can get even more traffic out of your articles by allowing other ezine publishers (see Idea 74: Writing Ezine Articles) and other web sites to republish them for free. In return for publishing your articles, these other publishers are required to include a short signature/advert for your site (usually at the bottom), which includes a link to your site. If you have an affiliate program (Idea 57: Starting An Affiliate Program), you might even allow these other publishers to use their affiliate links.

When you publish an article on your site and want to allow it to be republished in this way, be sure to tell readers that they can republish in their ezine or web site, as well as any Terms and Conditions that you might apply.
