You could give out promotional gifts like mousepads, pens, key-rings, etc., (to your customers, or perhaps even to prospects), emblazoned with your URL (you can omit the http:// prefix) and tag-line (a short sentence or phrase telling people why they should visit your web site).
You should be able to find suitable suppliers, by doing a search at google.
If you think that some people might be interested in buying things like T-Shirts with your URL etc., on it, you could set up a free store at CafePress.com (you can also buy from your own store, and wear your T-Shirt when out and about). Obviously some kinds of sites (perhaps, "cult" sites) will probably do considerably better at selling this type of gear than others.
