There are many sites on the web that give out awards.

While there are undoubtedly some sites that give out actual prizes, if you win award, you'll probably get:
  • The prestige of winning an award.

  • A graphic that you can add to your site, to say that you won the award.

  • A link from the award site.
Those links can increase your web site traffic, and link popularity (see Idea 1: Spider-Based Search Engines).
