Chapter 11: Getting Other Webmasters To Promote Your Site
Idea 86: Syndicate Dynamic Content
You could create and syndicate dynamic content (content that changes from day-to-day or week-to-week) - of course including link-backs to your web site in appropriate places in the content.
Other webmasters get to use your dynamic content to enhance their sites and make their sites more sticky - and you benefit from the extra link-backs that result.
There are a zillion different things that could be in the content, but here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Entertaining: Jokes, Funny Email Signature Ideas, etc.
- Literary: Quotes, Proverbs, Poems, etc.
- Serious: Tips (related to the subject of your web site), etc.
Of course, be sure to include instructions (and any applicable Terms and Conditions etc.), on your site so other webmasters know this facility exists, and how to use it.
When your syndication function is all finished and working, be sure to tell people about it. An easy way to do this is to list it on FreeSticky.com and StickySauce.com which contain indexes of these types of things.
